Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited, commonly known as DESCO, is a Public Limited Company which distributes electricity at the Northern parts of Dhaka City and Tongi Town of Gazipur District. The company is now under the Power Division of the Bangladesh Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.
In their accounts and procurement departments they have so many documents such as payment voucher, salary receipt, medical report, purchase voucher, tender files etc. which raised problem at the time of annual audit. At the time of audit, an auditor requires some documents and they have to suffer so many difficulties because search & retrieval is not easy.
These documents are stored in a record room. And all the reports are manually maintained, searched & retrieved.
