Directorate General of Health Services is one of the agencies of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of Bangladesh. Under this agency the personalized files of all government doctors were being archived physically and managed manually. Every type of record of doctors are kept in these files, i.e. appointment letter, promotion, job fixation, selection grade, time scale, transfer etc. These documents withering and were getting difficult to manage with the increase in number of documents.
DGHS took the initiative to digitally manage all the doctors’ files. DIVO Solutions Limited digitized these files and developed a web-based record management software to intergrade it with their Human Resource Information System (HRIS) under the contract with Activation for Technical Assistance for Implementation and maintenance of automated Human Resource Information System.
